Pediatric Dentistry First Visit
- Thank you for allowing us to take care of your child's/children's oral health care. The first visit is a time where you and your child can become familiar with Dr. Taiym, Dr. Kamali and the entire team. We thank you again and welcome!
- We encourage parents to accompany their child through their initial visit and eventually their 6 month recheck appointments. The whole team has a major emphasis on parent and patient education, which focuses on involving the parents during all exam appointments. Our ultimate goal is to provide the highest standard of oral health care, and we cannot accomplish that goal without the help of all the wonderful parents we interact with on a daily basis. In addition to talking about prevention of cavities and gum disease, we also talk about prevention of abnormal cranio-facial development. We love what we do and we hope you notice during your child's dental visit.
- More Helpful Information:
Your child should visit a pediatric dentist by his/her first birthday. The less buildup to any dental visit, the better. Inform your child about the visit and let him/her know the dentist and the staff will explain the routine and answer any questions. Refrain from using words that might create unnecessary anxiety, such as needle, pull, drill or hurt. The office makes a practice of using more kid-friendly terms that convey the same message.
